Asen had just finished mastering his new album "Meandering Road". The album was recorded in New York City and consists of original music and one rearrangement of the Bulgarian traditional song "Hubava Si Moia Goro". Besides Asen on piano, The CD features the amazing musicianship of Peter Slavov-bass, Kendick Scott-drums and Matt Kilmer on percussion. Assen has been selected as one of the five finalists in the prestigious Great American Jazz Piano Competition. The Great American Jazz Piano Competition is held in conjunction with the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, April 30-May 2, 2004. The competition will take place on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 7.00 p.m. at the Florida Theater.
